The Kootenay Ice improved to 6-2-0-2 and 14 points on the young season after defeating the Prince Albert Raiders 3-1 at the Rec Plex Saturday night in front of a crowd of 2698.
Ice captain continued to spark the club's top line with a goal and an assist in his second game back from a shoulder injury along with Joey Leach who mirrored the feat while Max chipped in with three assists in the win.
G Mackenzie Skapski bounced back nicely with a 28 save effort Saturday night after a tough outing against Red Deer.
The Ice now have Sunday off before heading to Lethbridge and then Medicine Hat Monday and Tuesday.
Dylen McKinlay left the game Friday against Lethbridge in the first period with an undisclosed injury, though I imagine it's one of either an upper body injury or lower body injury.....
Some attendance numbers after six games into the season:
2011 after six home dates - 2730
2010 after six home dates - 2425
It represents an increase of 305 over last season thus far.
