Chilliwack situation not good

This came from CKNW this morning;

Essentially it's carrying on the theory that the WHL is now in a race to Victoria, before the AHL gets there when/if the NHL's Coyotes move to Winnipeg and the Canuck's affiliate Moose head to the Island.

If anything, the '70% Done' quote should scare the hell out of Kootenay fans. All things being equal, here's a franchise that is up in attendance this season in Chilliwack, looks to be on course to become a better team/franchise, is averaging 3300 a game and bam! - in a blink of an eye they could be as good as gone without so much as a chance protest by their fans.

No save the Bruins campaign; no saviour locally to buy the team, nothing.

Fans of this hockey club in these here parts should be paying careful attention to this situation.

Jeff, I think a lot of people are starting to feel like me. I have bought two season tickets, I use only one, I buy two play-off packages, I use only one. Then I hear that interview on the web with JC and Regan and I want to really just throw up. Has the GM learned anything???? Why is it that the fans are always at fault??? What happened in Edmonton??? Did he learn anything from that??? I am getting to the point that I am starting to think that the sooner he leaves the better. Maybe we can get someone in here who really cares about the fans and not only about making tons of money. How can one person turn off 1500 fans so badly in 10 years that they do not come back????

Ummmm, actually he's the owner. So WE won't be getting anyone else in here. The sooner he leaves, will be exactly about the same time the team leaves. I think that the 1500 people you mention, are more at fault than the Owner/GM as they don't come to any games. I would be pissed if I were the owner too.

You would be pissed off as the owner are u freaking kidding me...You have to give to get...ya we always a a good team which is awesome....Those fans have left because he doesnt market...Where is ladies nite, college nite, the school nites, oh wait where are the people from Fernie, Elkford etc where the ice had deals on fan buses....They are all gone... The in game management stinks, the music is brutal...Heaven forbid the lites are dimmed when the players come out with a spotlite...Wheres the jumbo tron? Wait could have had one from the summer olympics too expensive...Why not drop the tickets to $10 on the weekdays get buts in the seats, wheres the family packs for every game? So if u dont listen to the drive or get the townsman or have a computer you dont know the Ice are playing... Thats why the 20-40yr old crown isn't there...All that happens is the costs keep going up and the rest of the BS stays the same...Get off ur freaking wallet spend a little and the fans WILL come back....

Last week, I paid 32.50 for a ticket in Edmonton to watch the Oil Kings (the cost for any seat between the goal lines)

i think its about damn time the neidermayers step up as silent owners and start supporting the team too. they are virtually non existant here in town as part owners. That needs to change soon. you want people in the seats, get them to do some radio timew or whatever.
